Watzup Speedy

The rushed work for the local tabloid came to nothing as the article was bumped by a report of an Indie event at the Esplanade. The editor consoled me that I would still be getting a ‘kill’ fee – half of what I would have been paid – for completing the assignment and that he may still need to purchase photos from me at a later stage for a write up on regional music festivals. Oh well, at least I still have the piece for the magazine which should see publication in September. Thankfully I had a chance to enjoy the festival as part of the audience the previous year since I was too busy this time round. But it was a great experience wearing my official tag and going around as a member of the media! SM came back with loads of souvenirs (including the press goodie bag) and the achievement of having played more pool in his 5 days in Kuching than in the last 5 years!
